How to Create a Classy Wedding that Reflects Your True Style
In our modern life, we don’t get too many chances to truly dress to the nines and carry out formal celebrations. Weddings can be a black tie event at which guests go all out, but they don’t have to be. We understand you or your family members may feel that all the formalities and expensive delicacies are necessary, but it is more important that your wedding day reflects you and your love.
That being said, many people relish the opportunity to feel the luxury and excitement of a truly classy and traditional event. So, how do you make formality feel authentic and true to you?

1. Focus on beauty!
Using decor, flowers, and clothes that you find beautiful will always be classy. We as humans are innately able to recognize the lovely things around us, and whichever ones speak to you most will be a great addition to your event.
2. Try to find the real thing rather than imitations.
Look for pieces of decor that are perhaps used or older but authentic rather than looking for something newly made with cheap materials. Instead of browsing amazon and target, look first to antique and thrift stores. There is a huge market for used wedding decor on Facebook marketplace. If you can find a way to use good quality decor pieces and then pass them onto the next couple who wants them, you’ll be helping the environment as well as making your wedding feel more classy.
3. Don’t try to hide it if you’re uncomfortable.
If you and your partner are feeling giggly when you’re up in front of the crowd, repeating vows that sound really dramatic, let those giggles out and try to focus back in. The ceremony is about you, not those words, and your love is big enough to fill them, high and lofty as they may seem. Don’t try to hide from them. Embrace how they truly make you feel, and live in the moment they present to you.
4. Try not to think of yourself as a celebrity.
It absolutely is your day and everyone is going to be cheering you on and treating you like VIPs! Don’t let the crowd disappear into a mass of adoring fans. They are your nearest and dearest and you are still more than welcome to have special and personal moments with them.
5. Choose clothes that still reflect your personal style, just on an elevated level.
You want to feel like yourself on your wedding day, and a “fancy” outfit can still have all kinds of personal flair and style. Pick something out that makes you feel beautifully you.
Overall, if you ever have to pick between something that you feel you should do versus something you want to do, always follow your heart. It’s what led you to this day!
